Overview

The Music Library page lets you track your entire sheet music collection. It includes rich fields for composer, arranger, publisher, genre, difficulty, ensemble type, and last performed date — making it easy to find the right music quickly.

Key Features

Rich Metadata

Track Library Number, Title, Composer, Arranger, Publisher, Year, Genre, Difficulty, Ensemble Type, Last Performed, and Notes.

Powerful Search & Sort

Search across all fields. Sort by any column, including numerical sorting for Library No and Year.

Import / Export

Bulk import your music library from CSV. Export anytime. Download a clean template for future imports.

Batch Edit & Delete

Select multiple pieces and edit or delete them in one action — the same efficient workflow used in Instrument and Uniform Inventory.

Working with Music Records

Selecting Multiple Pieces

Use the checkboxes to select records. The Edit Selected and Delete Selected buttons appear automatically.

Batch Edit Tip:

When editing multiple pieces, use “{No change}” in any field you want to leave as-is.

Per-Record Actions

Printing

Click the gray Print button to print a clean version of your current music library list.

Show Tips

Check the “Show Tips” box at the top to display helpful guidance. Your preference is saved locally.

Best Practices

  • Assign consistent Library Numbers so pieces are easy to locate physically and digitally.
  • Use the “Last Performed” field to quickly find music you haven’t used recently.
  • Keep Genre and Difficulty fields updated — this makes programming concerts much faster.
  • Export your music library regularly as a backup.
